The Live Earth Global Warming Survival Handbook
77 Essential Skills to Stop Climate Change – or Live Through It
Written by David de Rothschild

The Live Earth Global Warming Survival Handbook is a small, take-along book with colorful 2-page tips and ideas for stopping climate change or living through it.  The pages are full of color and paired with cost, time, effort, and impact graphics make this book an easy read whether you prefer cover to cover or flip around methods of reading.

Some of the tips were amusing like “45 Take a Bath Together” or “68 Buy a Camel,” but this sage advice has some merit.  In my presentations about living green or in my presentations with Michelle Banks Watt about green interior design, I say that you don’t have to believe in global warming, now commonly referred to as “climate change,” in order to understand and benefit from going green.  Let’s face the facts: using less water and less electricity save money on utility bills.  There is a lot of other practical advice that you don’t have to be a tree hugger to believe.

Keep an open mind.  I have heard negative press about this book, but it’s cute and informative.  I highly recommend this book for people just starting to learn about going green.  Most of it would make for good dinner time discussion with your family.
